As Assistant General Counsel, Mr. Switzer represents Lodestar Energy in all stages of business operations. Mr. Switzer is responsible for overseeing and identifying legal issues and their interrelation to real estate, engineering, design, corporate structure, finance and business strategy.
Prior to joining Lodestar Energy, Mr. Switzer co-founded Summit Solar Capital in 2013 and effectively led the company through early stage solar developments in Delaware, New York, and New Jersey. At Summit Solar Capital, Mr. Switzer was responsible for business development, pre-development planning, negotiation, determining interconnection options and site constraints, and defining debt and equity structures.
In 2007, Mr. Switzer successfully launched KKS Investments, a real estate company focused on the acquisition and development of off-campus student housing. With Mr. Switzer as Managing Partner, KKS Investments acquired, constructed and syndicated approximately $38 million worth of real estate projects in the southeastern United States.
In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, from 2012 to 2014, Mr. Switzer acted as real estate counsel to both private clients and global financial institutions in New York City.
Mr. Switzer holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School, an MAIB from the University of Florida, and a BA from the University of Florida. Mr. Switzer is admitted to the bar of New York.
