Before founding Lodestar Energy, Jeffrey founded ALTRU Energy in 2009 to develop and finance solar DG projects. In the renewable energy sector, Jeffrey has developed and financed more than $300M (>120 MW) of projects across eight states. Prior to founding Lodestar, Jeffrey worked as an attorney in private practice at two AMLAW 50 law firms, representing public and private companies, private equity funds, and financial institutions in a variety of businesses and industries, including renewable energy, finance and real estate, and multiple tax equity transactions. Over his career Jeffrey has closed transactions in excess of $20 Billion, and has been active in the private equity, renewable energy and technology arenas for more than two decades. He represented Evergreen Solar (ESLR) during its formative years, through its initial public offering in 2000, and as a public company thereafter.
Jeffrey serves on the Avon Clean Energy Commission, and has worked extensively to support community economic development, revitalization, growth and sustainability. Since 2009, a significant proportion of Jeff’s projects have benefited underserved communities by providing below–market, renewable energy to those in need.
